A Bit About My Path
Hi, I’m Taylor. My passion for psychology started when I was a teenager, long before I ever imagined becoming a therapist. I was drawn to how people think, feel, and connect and even more so to the idea of helping others feel grounded, supported, and secure.
What I value most about this work is the meaningful relationships I build with clients. Walking alongside someone as they grow, gain clarity, and reconnect with themselves is something I feel incredibly honored to do.
Who I Support
Children & Youth (Ages 10+)
Working with children and pre-teens is one of the most meaningful parts of my work. Many young people struggle to put big feelings into words, so I use play-based and developmentally appropriate approaches to help them express themselves, process their experiences, and build emotional resilience.
I support children and youth with:
-
Anxiety (including generalized anxiety, OCD, fears, and phobias)
-
Trauma
-
Depression
-
Self-esteem and confidence
-
Emotional regulation
-
School-related stress
-
Behavioural concerns
-
Sports performance anxiety and mental coaching
My goal is always to create a space where young people feel safe, understood, and supported, while working together toward meaningful goals and positive change.
Adults
With adults, I help clients explore deeper emotional patterns, attachment wounds, and the experiences that shape how they move through the world. I work with individuals facing:
-
Anxiety
-
Depression
-
Grief
-
Attachment related issues
-
Post-traumatic stress
-
Complex trauma
-
Feeling “off” without knowing why
I’m especially passionate about helping clients identify their triggers, uncover root causes, and work through unresolved trauma while building healthier, more aligned coping strategies.
How I Work
The foundation of my practice is a strong therapeutic relationship. I view therapy as a partnership, a space where we work together, openly and authentically.
I draw from several therapeutic approaches, including:
-
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
-
Person-Centered Therapy
-
Mindfulness and Somatic techniques
-
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing)
In our sessions, I show up as my genuine self. I provide structure, clarity, and goals but always with warmth and flexibility. My intention is for you to leave each session with something meaningful: an insight, a shift, or a concrete next step.
My Background
My journey formally began with a degree in Psychology from the University of Western Ontario. I later worked in rehabilitation psychology, which deepened my commitment to helping individuals heal, grow, and rebuild their lives.
I went on to complete my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counselling at Niagara University, where I received specialized training that continues to guide my work today.
What to Expect in Our First Session
I like to think of our first appointment as a relaxed coffee date, a chance for us to get to know each other in a way that feels safe, honest, and pressure-free. By the end, we’ll have a clear idea of your goals and the direction we’ll take together.
Outside the Therapy Room
When I’m not working, you can usually find me at CrossFit or teaching jump rope classes to kids in my community. Movement and self-care play a big role in my life and help me stay grounded so I can be fully present with the people I support.
Let’s Connect
If you’re considering starting therapy, I’d love to meet you. Reach out or book your first session — I’m looking forward to walking this path with you.
